First let me wish all of my readers a very Happy Holliday and a Grand New Year. The year 2014 has shown us that we are indeed inching toward a recovery from the economic down turn we have experienced for the last several years. We are not out of the woods but we are progressing.

Over the last several months we have been exploring the Principals of GPS Marketing. It is the foundation and support structure for all internet marketing efforts. Each of the 7 fundamental elements will, if followed, provide you with a roadmap for a successful marketing. For your review the principals are:

Personal branding and mobile marketing will also be explored with more detail and reference to social media. All will be supplemented with my Facebook page M F Chase Consulting where you can find ideas and information daily.

I was asked last week in a meeting; "Do I really need a website?" The short answer is NO. Without a website you will have minimal methods of measurement and accountability for your marketing efforts and only about 1% chance of being found during search processes. Your marketing will need to be much more intensive and will cost you more but you do not need a website. On the other hand, 98% of all sales begin with a search and end when a relevant and robust website is found.

Your website, if you choose to use one, is the central point of contact and a clearing house for all of your internet marketing efforts. Make sure it is measureable, up to date, mobile friendly and filled with relative content.
